Media Matters: Bush may not have a plan for Iraq, it's Kerry's problem
FROM MEDIA MATTERS:

On September 15, CNN host Judy Woodruff and pundit David Gergen both suggested that, while President George W. Bush appears to lack a clear plan for Iraq, the Iraq situation is more of a problem for Senator John Kerry than it is for Bush.

Gergen is a U.S. News & World Report editor-at-large and a former adviser to Presidents Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, Ronald Reagan, and Bill Clinton.

Woodruff and Gergen -- appearing on separate CNN programs -- stipulated that Bush has no clear plan for Iraq, but then both made a curious leap of logic. Apparently ignoring Bush's responsibility for the U.S. war in Iraq -- and his attendant responsibility for creating a climate in which terrorism can thrive, where civil war is a possibility, and where conditions for Iraqis and coalition troops alike are generally disastrous -- they chose to emphasize instead what they consider Kerry's "weakness" on Iraq.

3. Kerry's problem because why......
...because there are only 1028 dead Americans and over 7,000 disabled not twice that number or three times that number?

...because enough Americans are perfectly willing to accept the state of affairs in Iraq and rely totally on Bush's rhetoric and the spin messages they hear?

...because the whores in the media are not bringing the truth about the war in Iraq through their reports and visuals from the battle grounds?

...because too many Americans could not give a rat's ass about Iraqis who suffer right now and the real reasons why 10's of thousands of Iraqis are suffering from disease, hunger, violence and abuses every single day?

...because in the minds of too many Americans this has become a war of revenge against all Muslims, who they equate so very conveniently with terrorists?

I really wish these media whores would explain their statements more precisely. A lie is not just making a misleading claim or statement. A lie is also withholding information and can also emerge when someone utters makes an innuendo, but doesn't provide evidence or an explanation and lets lets the listener draw their own conclusions.

7. Kerry's Iraq problem
is that Democrat's themselves are divided over Iraq. A slight majority (I've heard 52-54 %) are against the war while close to 40% (like myself) support the war effort. Kerry cannot take too hard of a stand either way without alienating a sizable portion of his base.

5. ..and here I thought it was America's problem.
sigh..........
Why do we have to be so divided on EVERYTHING?
People are dying...and not just US troops
The whole world hates us, and we worry about campaign rhetoric?

Stop the world - I want to get off.

8. "Politics for Dummies"
Aha! coincidentally I just wrote to a local TV station to 'splain
FOR THE OBTUSE, WHAT THE KERRY'S PLATFORM IS.

I politely addressed a guest on the program who, ONCE AGAIN, spouted off the SHOP WORN sound bite: "Kerry isn't/hasn't explained his position/platform"

Kerry's postion (for the obtuse, the dense, the politically backward) is: GW BUSH IS A FAILURE. BUSH FAILED AS A PRESIDENT and AS A COMMANDER IN CHIEF.

GW ISN'T JUST A FAILURE, HE IS A MISERABLE FAILURE. It isn't incumbant upon Kerry to explain so much as it IS FOR BUSH. GW BUSH HAS BEEN PREZ FOR FOUR YEARS...NOT Kerry. IT IS GW BUSH'S RECORD WE ARE JUDGING IN TERMS OF RUNNING A SECOND TERM.

IT IS TIME FOR SOMEONE NEW.
