2. How come the GOP constantly tries to suppress votes?
While Dems are always trying to get more voters out. Why can't people see that? :-(

4. Maybe the bands are seeing the bigger
picture. They see another 4 years of * as a real downer. That responder in the linked thread seems like an idealist, which is OK, but it seems to trump the urgency of the moment which is to get a maniac out of our White House.

6. the responder is not a punk idealist!
If you look at their other posts, they are a regular GOP'er, trying to convince youth not to vote. From the same person:

"I never said a war fought for oil was a bad thing. I'm one of those "right wing nutballs" who agreed with Ann Coulter when, after being pressed by Alan Combes's questions of "what if this war was simply fought over Iraqi oil," she responded, "who cares?!"

I mean, where else are we gonna get it... Northern Alaska?! It'll be a cold day in hell when the hippies allow us to drill there."

5. punk music is
all about being depressed and suffering. I bet lots of them are Republicans it isn't really surprising. Not all youth are Democrats. But lots of us are.

8. Funny, considering
The punk movement to oust Bush.

What, are the punks supposed to remain apolitical or not be punks?
