Is there any way we can all organize to get Howard Dean back in charge of the DNC?
I'm tired of learning about republican failures on news programs, instead of seeing them being put in ads during popular tv shows. The Dem's plan covers more people, and saves more money than the crap the GOP put out. I had to get that from David Schuster(?) That should be in an ad somewhere. What is Tim kaine doing?

I think Rahm kept Dean out, and if I had to choose between Dean and Rahm............ I'll go wit Dean

15. Forget the DNC. He should be offered a job in this administration
Dean was shunned and Rahm Emanuel is made chief of staff. Where is the justice? The DLC is still calling the shots. I'd like to see him take on the Wall Street bunch. He worked at Smith Barney before leaving to go to med school and his father was a banker. Fire Geitner and let Howard give 'em hell.

19. I honestly do not remember what he even LOOKS like.
He must be the most shy & timid DNC chair in history. We used to see McCulliffe & Dean all the damn time- at least you knew who they were.

Where the hell is this guy and what the hell is he even doing?

2. Not a chance. Yes, We Can has become Sit Down and Shut Up. Dean
would challenge that.

3. You might want to ask Dr. Dean. I don't think he wants it anymore. He's been
on the news shows, anyway. And he makes more money and travels a lot less with what he's doing now.

6. Welcome to DU, LovinLife! I don't think so although I
miss the Dr. Gov. Chairman Dean. It seems as though the democratic wing of the dem party has been kicked to the curb now.

Howard was the best thing that ever happened to the DNC. It's because of him a Dem was elected in '08 thanks to the 50-state strategy. Of course Rhambo will NEVER permit this.

On edit: sp.

11. Howard Dean remains the only LEADER this party has had in years
Officially or not.

Tim Kaine might actually be worse than McAulliffe, and I didn't want to think that was possible.

12. Dr. Dean was very useful to Obama in becoming president.
But once Obama became president, he essentially told Dr. Dean and the activist progressives, thanks for the help, but now sit down and shut up.

Be very curious what will happen in 2012. Will RAM Emanuel ask the progressives for help? Or will they dump the progressives all together and go for the disgruntled, disenfranchised, conservative republic ants.

18. They have already dumped us--why wait until 2012--2010 may be a wake up call
Rahm thinks that it is just about the money. Obama would have all the support he needed to pass his initiatives if he had left the 50-state strategy in place...which by the way was a major reason that he won although he has given no acknowledgement of that. If it was all about how he can organize and motivate people, then he would have had the Town Hallers and teabaggers overwhelmed. But, then, do they really want to make good on all those promises????

What happens when we just stay home! Will all the money from the special interest groups buy the commitment and passion that got him elected? I think not as I sometimes encountered the paid "volunteers" for the McCain campaign and they were at best a half-hearted bunch.

They need their excuses.

20. It really does look that way some times.
Seems to defy logic that a political party would carry on that way, assuming there are 2 parties that oppose each other.

And yet I see evidence of what you suggest all the time...

If he left on his own that's the end of it.

21. Perhaps the OP could have said "someone LIKE Dr. Dean."
I think the point that we may need a dynamic, high profile, lightning rod, pro-reform DEM as chair stands.

Rahm hates Dean for some reason.
