What the heck is up with Jack Cafferty?
First he rants about the prospect of the rich being taxed a little bit more and and makes some sneering comment about the march towards "socialism". Then, last night, he had a piece about Al Gore personally profiting from his crusade against global warming. Is this a case of CNN deciding if they can't beat Fox they should just try to ape them?

Damn, I used to like Jack, especially after his Palin eruptions during the campaign.

1. I didn't catch that, I like Jack Cafferty, too.
I hope the powers at CNN haven't made him swallow the pill.

2. Welcome to the world of the media driven politics..
It is how they make their money..we have crossed a line between informing the people and pushing angst to drive the income stream

Kind of like yellow journalism at the turn of the 20th century.

The media has lost its way.

Its all about celebrity of the commentators and not about getting out the facts so the individual can make a rational decision.

7. Bingo!
We need to always remember that just because a commentator appears to be on "our side" today, that the winds may change as soon as ratings drop!

It's all about the money!

6. Yes, I realized that a few montha ago too when he seemed to attack the Dems over and over again.
I think CNN told him to put a more conservative bias on his questions or get canned.

14. There is a lot more $$$ to be made being a neocon.
That's what all these people are really about, when it comes down to it.

5. That's weird--he always seemed kind of a populist to me. Maybe
since CNN is in last place they've decided to dial up the crazy and attract some teabaggers.

13. No. This is the old Cafferty
The Jack Cafferty of the past year or so is an anomaly. For a while there, I thought he had come to his senses. Apparently, he's back to his old ways. This is how he's pretty much always been.

15. I noticed the same thing. I used to answer his questions pretty often but I started noticing his
questions started changing-having a "RW talking point" tone to them. I liked it better when he used to talk about how he had a crush on Michelle Obama.

19. Um, this is the same Cafferty who mocked how Al Gore would have handled 9/11 not long after the
attacks. For YEARS on CNN he came across as a nasty Rethug. He seemed to soften his views as the Bush Years dragged on and he took a liking to then-candidate Obama. But even then he was more a supporter of Obama than Democrats in general.
