9. That first photo is priceless. too bad he didn't have a boy
President Obama always seems to be fond of boys wherever he goes. Nothing against girls, I am a girl myself ; ), but i have noticed his reaction when he sees little boys. His eyes shine!!..

15. I'm convinced there will be a baby boy in this WH before too long...
...either Michelle will be pregnant in '07 or they'll adopt a baby. This man needs a son... ;-)

19. You think he's not happy to have 2 delightful girls?
What's up with that? Talk like this devalues our daughters and our dads. And depresses me.

The Ward Clever pictures further down this thread seem most appropriate given the "I so hope he gets to be a "real" dad, you know, to a boy" nonsense.

They should have no more kids. While all of us talk about global warming, and environmental concerns no one talks about the real issue: there are just too damned many of us. If we all cut back to one kid per family, we'd solve it all in a couple of generations. Lots faster than taking reusable bags to the grocery store.

good points, need to be said.

Anyway, back on topic: Great pics!! So cute!

on edit:the second pic looks like a little girl, and the President doesn't look any less enthusiastic.

another thought: when we see pics, remember, we're seeing what photographers choose to capture.

12. I have a feeling that the WH Pastry Chefs (!) would be appalled to be mistaken for the Klan.
Although you are not the first to ask the very same question on this board.

7. I finally figured out the President's Halloween costume.
He's dressed as Ozzie Nelson, of the 1950s/1960s television series The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet.
