Axelrod rebuffs Limbaugh for criticism
By Tony Romm - 11/01/09 12:12 PM ET

White House Senior Adviser David Axelrod on Sunday fired back at conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh, who said earlier this morning the president was "a child" with an "out-of-this-world ego" that does not suit his "a five-minute career."

"Well, I think it's a surreal day when you're getting lectures on humility from Rush Limbaugh," Axelrod told CBS' "Face the Nation."

"The fact is that he is an entertainer. The president has to run the country," the adviser added. "He's the commander-in-chief. He has huge responsibilities. I think he does them thoughtfully. He does them well. And they're difficult problems. We walked into a difficult situation. I think he's handling it very, very well. And most people believe that. We'll let Mr. Limbaugh foment, but I think the American people are well-served and believe they're well-served."

1. There Limbaugh is again with the ego crap.
It's clearly dog whistle for 'uppity'. I'm sure that keeps all the Stormfront fans tuned in to Limbaugh's broadcasts.

The truth is, Obama is quite unassuming - particularly when you consider his station in life. This was clear to see in his response to the announcement that he had won the Nobel Peace Prize.

5. I see Rush is projecting again
He, like the rest of the GOP, clearly has an EXTREMELY selective memory when it comes to the events of the past eight years. Limbaugh's delusional rantings are SO not out of character for him.

6. Axelrod was being very polite. If it were me...
Edited on Mon Nov-02-09 12:45 AM by zulchzulu
....I'd have said:

"Rush Limbaugh is a college dropout. He is an unconvicted and conniving drug addict. He is for the sanctity of marriage, which is why he has been divorced several times. He is a bloated egomaniac, a mumbling loner, a shrill whining demogogue. He has a history of going on secret sex jaunts in the Dominican Republic, which fully allows child prostitution. He actually got out of the Vietnam War, which he fully supported, because of his fat ass. And it seems his fat ass is connected to his filthy piehole. So what he thinks or says about President Barack Obama is about as relevant as what a crackhead's vomit smells like in his final death throes in a dark alley."

8. Limpalls is nothing but a sloppy, fat slug.
coded words decoded:

"child" (he also used the term: "man-child president") = boy
"out-of-this-world ego" = uppity
"a five-minute career" = shiftless, lazy

11. I would preface these comments if I were press secretary.
I would start my response by saying "GOP leader" whenever I say the name "Rush Limbaugh".
