6. "when you're out of work, GDP doesn't mean ANYTHING to you... WE get it!"
Then goes on to talk about the rise in the GDP being attributed to the Recovery Act.

(at least when it comes to Recovery Act spending)

I just checked Recovery.gov again and even more money has been spent than there was a month ago.

This by a Blue Dog governor who initially said he would "opt out" of the money ..... until the people of the state rose up in anger against that .... and he changed his mind the next day. ;)

Check out the progress in YOUR state...

12. "My dad has an expression......."
"ya know Joey, a job is about a lot more than a paycheck."

As he recounts his stump speech story about the father who has to go upstairs and tell his child that they might lose their house because of the job situation. I didn't realize until now Joe tells that story because it happened to him. When he was in the 3rd grade, his father did the exact same thing to him, came upstairs, said he had to move to DE because he'd lost his job in PA.

.... but now the story has a more promising ending, "and now those mothers and fathers can look at their children and say, 'its going to be ok.'"
