Some things we must rely on for a tolerable Healthcare bill...


Robert Byrd's health.

Kent Conrad and Max Baucus' "team player" instincts.

Ben Nelson's decisiveness.

Mary Landrieu's consistency.

Joe Lieberman's integrity.

In some scenarios we also must rely on Olympia Snowe's wisdom.


Talk about threading a needle!

There should be a Samuel L. Jackson movie called "Snakes in the Senate." ("I'm tired of these mother-fucking snakes in this mother-fucking Senate!")

If Harry Reid actually gets 60 votes for any non-trigger PO I will take back (almost) every cruddy thing I've ever said about him.
