Great comment by CNN Jeffrey Toobin
We turned to CNN for the last few minutes of Campbell Brown's show which was hosted by Rick Sanchez.

He had several guests talking about the White House and Fox.

Toobin gave an example: Fox was covering wall to wall the teabaggers march on Washington, but not the recent gays' even though the numbers were similar.

His problem was that Fox reports the same way in its news hours and in its shows and then the rest of the media reports what Fox said.

1. Not to mention the DIRECT PROMOTIONAL WORK they were doing,
along the lines of a "get out the vote" effort, leading up to the various teabagging events!

2. Yes, the rest of the media reporting "what Fox said"...
... is one of the big problems we have right now. As I've said in several posts over the last few days, much of the time the US MSM seems to often be reporting on itself. This means that FOX can distort facts, or even outright lie, and the lies then get echoed and discussed by the MSM. Even if many Americans don't buy the Fox lies, the deliberate spread of disinformation is very effective in confusing issues. Usually by creating controversy where there really is none (or very little). The recent "death panel" nonsense is a good example. How many Democrats when being interviewed about health care reform had to spend the first (valuable) few minutes of the interview explaining that there were, in fact, no death panels? But, to the uniformed casual viewer, the damage has been done. "Where there's smoke there's fire right?" "There must be something to it, or else they wouldn't keep talking about it!".

4. Yes, he did mention the "death panel" as another example
I should have included this.

But it is not just Fox. There are 24 hour Cable channels - all of them - and they have to say something so they constantly report on each other and promote their own shows. And the real news are on a tape moving at the bottom of the screen.

They even report "The View" - how many people actually watch this program?

There was a funny circular "logic." Jon Stewart whose show is really to report on other news was making fun of George Stephanopoulos show. The following Sunday, George Stephanopoulos had a "Sunday funnies' segment when he ran... that skit from Jon Stewart.

3. The Teabagger March on Washington was maybe 1/3 of the size
of the recent Gay March on Washington.....if that.

However the Teabagger March got 23/7 coverage on Fox
for like 3 to 4 days.

6. 24/7 coverage for 3-4 days and extensive coverage for 2+ weeks
and I am plenty pleased that they saw the article where I called them out on it. ;-)
