Blue Dogs must have exceedingly nuanced constituents!
Edited on Thu Oct-22-09 12:39 PM by Kurt_and_Hunter
This seems to be the view of some conservadems:

"A weak PO might be acceptable but a robust PO is political suicide."

WTF???

Whose constituency is that nuanced concerning something nobody understands anyway?

There will be no practical effects of any PO for years, so it's not like joe twelve-pack would notice a real world difference no matter what happens.

So we are just talking about how a program is spun, politically.

And ANY health care bill, even just an apple a day, is going to be spun as the hell-spawn of Mao, Stalin and Hitler by whoever runs against these moderate lames. That's baked in the cake.

(Remember all the frothing wing-nuts at town halls explaining how a trigger or opt-in would be okay? Me neither.)

So where do these nuanced views come from? Is it just about insurance companies letting it be known which policies they will tolerate?

1. Your Closing, Sir, Is On The Right Track
The 'nuance' these wretches are searching for is the one that will keep the checks coming from their insurance company masters without enraging their Democratic constituents who are demanding a strong public option. These people make their livings by disregarding the desires of the people who vote for them, being paid handsomely to do so by people who live by stealing from their constituents.

2. Awesome! An unrec from one of DUs insurance company fans.
Edited on Thu Oct-22-09 12:57 PM by Kurt_and_Hunter
Or perhaps from someone who believes a weak PO is good politics but a robust PO is political suicide...

Or from someone who loves himself some blue dog...

Or from someone who just likes clicking on things...

We'll never know. That's the fun of the unrec feature.

3. Their constituents are not the people, but the insurance industry.
That's who put them in power and who keeps them in power. Voters don't figure in it at all.

5. Yeap, they act as if they've NEVER been in a campaign before! KKKons will say that dems are satan...
...spawn these days no matter what.

They'll make shit up if they don't have any dirt (see Obama 08 prez race) and the M$M will repeat the made up shit as if it's valid.

Any dem that complains about campaigning when it comes to the PO shouldn't be running because they're not preparing.
