1. V.P. Biden spent time and energy
with and for Polish Jews. He will be remembered for this.

3. Military airport??
Must everything be militarized? Okecie is the main airport for Warsaw, complete with an international terminal and bus service to get to town. Sure, military aircraft land there too, but to describe it as a "military airport" is akin to describing a Burger King near a military base as a "military commissary".

I long for the day when America will: stop the wars, bring the troops home, close 500 foreign military bases, and cut the defense budget by 80%.

7. That fifth photo down: Hell, I'm surprised there's still a Jewish community to greet.
I've been to the Jewish quarter in Prague and the largest synagogue in Eurasia, in Budapest. You don't really get a feel for just how completely gutted these once-vibrant communities are until you visit. The old synagogue in Prague has trouble getting a minyan, and when it does, there's not a soul there under the age of 60. Visiting the gigantic synagogue in Budapest feels like visiting the Parthenon -- a temple to a long gone religion. It's really sad.

9. Except when he says something that could be
interpreted as a 'gaffe' - then it's a 24/7 media frenzy.

He gets no coverage for all the work he is doing, especially overseas.
