Wall Streeters Expected At Obama NYC Fund-Raiser

Democratic sources confirm that Wall Street financiers will be among the paying guests at a $30,400 per couple party fundraiser tomorrow in Manhattan where President Obama is the headliner.

“It’s true that we expect a few of them, but they know where we stand,” an insider today tells The Mouth. “It’s not like we’ve been pulling our punches lately.”

The source was referring to a renewed White House offensive aimed at an apparently unrepentant culture of greed on Wall Street. Top aides, including White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel and senior adviser David Axelrod, bashed Wall Street execs who are again handing out mega-bonuses after the government had to bail them out with taxpayer money.

Emanuel accused an ungrateful financial industry of “literally going and fighting the very type of regulations and reforms that are necessary to prevent, again, a crisis like this happening.”

“The American people have a right to be frustrated and angry,” Emanuel said on CNN’s “State of the Union.”

1. Oh, so that's why he's coming to Manhattan.
They were warning about traffic delays on the radio, but I didn't hear the purpose of his visit.

2. Let me guess
Bill or Hillary Clinton never held a fund raiser right? Or perhaps they never had any wallstreeters at any of their fund raisers.

No matter what this man does you find problems with it and yes, the rolling of the eyes constantly shows that you have problems with him.

4. When presidents and high dignitaries come to the city it's a hassle.
There are traffic jams and areas that are closed. I remember being stuck in the Downtown area more than once when Bush would come to town and use the heliport near Wall St. I once sat outside the Lincoln tunnel for 45 minutes because the Chinese Premier had gone through the tunnel, it took them half an hour to open it to traffic after his motorcade had passed. It was the only time that I missed a performance. All the hoopla may be glamorous to the tourists, but it's a nuisance for the rest of us who need to get around.

Now the question is why would anyone trust anything said in one of Mort Zuckerman's rags?
