New tactic for the "man vote"
I just finished talking to a firm supporter of * and after the conversation he actually said he had to go google the sites I gave him.

I talked to him as if it were the world series and and after a grueling playoff the "US" got to the series as in after 9-11. Every great player was on our team, they went up 3-0 and they only had the 4th game to make it a sweep. As in keeping our focus on Afghanistan and all of a sudden the Captain, in this case * took all the big players and said he was going to play a shitty inconsequiental little team that had beat his dads team 10 years ago and show him who was boss. He left a weak team to finish the world series and all of a sudden the series was tied, and he wopped the other team but they demanded a rematch and he arrogantly said "bring it on". Well the shitty little team got together all the scratch players that did not like being humiliated, as in Iraq. Meanwhile the series keeps getting rained out and the other team is getting more and more support and the players are getting discouraged.

I equated to the world and UN who was behind us 100% in Afgahanistan and of course not behind us in Iraq. Then I asked who or what do you want the US to be, the team that goes it alone with the players that are getting "tired" because they keep one upping us, or The Captain of the world team? Do you want to finish the world series or do you want to be the team that stops in mid stream while we were ahead. I think being the Captain in the World team is a much safer place to be, because we are not alone in this world and a team always does better when they play together. He "got it"

5. You mean fencing as in gentleman's sword fighting or....
...standing next to a fence watching cars zoom by?

3. Did he really get it, or did he just want to get you off his back?
...My experience with Bushevists is that they are true believers in the so called new Bush revolution of somehow returning America to a past glory of being the best nation in the world by the will of God. Bush is no Captain of a World Team and has no desire to be that. Out of his own mouth came, "I'd rather be a dictator". So, empire and the old organization of the Roman City state I think is much closer to the vision that Bush has for America.

Those close to him know this can only be accomplished by stealth and deception until a certain critical mass is achieved after which the chips fall where they may. We are dealing with something much different than Americans have faced in over 100 years, perhaps from as far back as the original writing of the constitution. You are doing the right thing by discussing these issues with your RW friend, but remember:

"Keep your friends close and your enemies even closer" -- Sun Tsu, The Art of War

P.S. Saddam Hussein I think said something similar: "it is better to have a camel in your tent pissing out than a camel outside pissing in"

4. I think the cheerleader
picture is a good one to use for the 'man vote.' It may be sexist (and I appologize) but a male cheerleader just screams 'wussie.' I wouldn't think that the 'man vote' would want anything to do with a wussie as president during a time of war. Perhaps it could swing a few ignorant voters who seem to be *'s base.

6. He got it
He just e-mailed me and said that he was finding the time-line to 9-11 very interesting.
