Club owner Samuel J.T. Moore III declined to be interviewed but released a statement saying he put up the poster as part of his constitutional right to free speech.

Moore, who identified himself as a Libertarian, said he was unhappy with the direction of Obama’s eight-month-old administration, particularly on financial issues.

Moore’s club is awaiting a state Alcoholic Beverage Control hearing on alleged violations. Earlier this year Moore was convicted of three misdemeanor charges related to having sex with a minor and another woman at his apartment in the club, and filming it illegally.

Club’s anti-Obama banner vandalized
The graffiti includes the word "RAPIST," an apparent reference to a criminal case involving the club's owner, Samuel J.T. Moore III. He was convicted last year of three misdemeanor charges related to having sex with a minor and another female at his apartment above the club, and filming it illegally.

Moore was not charged with rape in that case, but he was charged previously with two counts of rape that were dismissed without trial in 2003, according to Richmond court records.

6. Some background on Samual JT Moore II

Moore is from the "First Families of Virginia" set the ooooooold ooooooold money around Richmond and Charlottesville mostly.

Went to Hampden-Sydney and while all his buddies went off to fortunes as executives in Fortune 500 companies he went into the strip club business

He got in a fight in a bar near where his bar is now and killed the guy with the guy's own knife....and beat the rap.

Beat the other rape charge too

He tried to open up a "bikini bar" (the waitresses in bikinis) right across the street from the Children's Museum (heavily visited year-round) and his club got raided two days later. It DID result from a complaint from the girls father but it turns out she was already married (which just adds to it) so the court found her to be an adult even though she wasn't 18 yet. He did do some time but nothing close to what anyone else would have.
