3. I am a political officer in young dems

I've attended events for local candiates, I canvassed in Pennsylvania today, and I am gonna do stuff for the DNC too, plus work on election today afternoon at the school, oh and sway as many people as I can for Kerry.

Registered 6 today and 4 at work this week.

Gave out 3 absentee applications

canvassed part of my precinct today--
13 strong Dems
13 Swing/Undecideds/Not Homes
3 Republicans

Gave out literature to all 29 homes

Gave one Kerry bumpersticker

Will supply 5 houses with Dem yard signs tomorrow
(2 will be placed right next to the elementary school drop-off/pick-up)

I'll also try to hand out some stickers, buttons and the like.

Yesterday I had a chat with a client about our mutual interest in bringing about a Kerry victory. He and I ran into each other at a Democratic candidates' rally during the 2002 race and have since swapped talk on the Dems. Mostly he needed bucking up due to all the gloom-and-doom talk in the press. He seemed happy to hear about the swing state volunteers.

I think there's a concerted effort to destroy the morale of the Dems, so please do your part to stamp out political cognitive distortions NOW. We need people heading to the polls, not proclaiming a result this week.
