If You Will Not Turn to the Dark Side...
Edited on Thu Sep-17-09 08:27 PM by Fearless

You’ve surely heard the claims made by some that President Obama wasn’t born in the United States. We at GeekDad have uncovered evidence of an even more incredible possibility: We believe that Mr. Obama was not only not born in America, but is actually a being from another planet.

Ridiculous, you say? Then you obviously haven’t seen the photographs of Mr. Obama fencing with a toy lightsaber on the White House lawn yesterday. He seems awfully comfortable with the weapon, doesn’t he? Add that to his well-known cool temperament, and one is forced to conclude that the president is a Jedi Knight, and so must be from the “galaxy far, far away” in which the Star Wars stories are set...

But wait! It’s not that simple. What about the photo to the right, which I presented as evidence back in November that Mr. Obama is a geek? What if, instead of mere geekiness, he was actually demonstrating that he, like Superman, is a native of the planet Krypton? It would explain how he managed to endure the grueling primary and general election campaigns last year without getting ruffled...

18. Yes it is.
"That’s an interesting belt buckle," he said to Michelle, mischievously. She feigned offense and said, "I am interesting, next to you. Surprise, surprise, a blue suit, a white shirt and a tie." Obama grinned and bent down until he was almost at eye level with her waist. He jabbed a playful finger toward her belt buckle, and let loose his inner nerd. "The lithium crystals! Beam me up, Scotty!" Obama squeaked, laughing at his own lame joke as Michelle rolled her eyes."
more here on the Nerd in Chief. :) (I say that as a fellow nerd)

10.  Star Wars geek fans can never get enough of it.
My husband is totally into Star Wars. For Halloween he once dressed up as Darth Maul and I was Princess Leia. We are that nerdy! Even my 4 and 5 year old daughters got lightsabers for Christmas last year and know all the characters. Yes, we know we are strange.

May the Force Be With You.

12. LOL. Chris, my husband, has all of his Star Wars toys from when he was a kid.
He refused to throw them away even though some of them are missing a leg or arm. His old Luke Skywalker is so not poseable though. The arms are so straight.
My girls play with them...though some look like they are ready to break any day now.
My husband is obsessed. We have figures, cups, a board game, a Darth Vader bank, tons of light sabers. Even a life size cardboard cut out of Darth Vader which is in our basement. He is such a nerd. But its all in good fun, right?

14. You got lucky! Most of time the old figures you find are not in the greatest condition.
Chris keeps buying figures though...we have new ones too. He is just as excited to go to Toys R Us as the kids are. :)

8. I love this photograph
Getting in touch with the inner nerd. It doesn't surprise me a bit. And Michelle and the two ladies are also having fun cheerleading the inner nerd. Play is good.

9. His fencing stance could use some work
He's showing far too much of his chest to the opponent, and his right hand is not in the proper position. Even a beginning epee fencer would make mincemeat of him. His grip is OK, I suppose, given the weapon, but a good beat will likely knock it out of his hands.

Unless he really does have Jedi powers.

16. commentary from politicalhumor.about.com
"Does this mean Cheney is really Obama's father? And that Cheney is really a black Muslim from Kenya? At least it's better having a Jedi as president than when we had Jar Jar."
