Most Presidents seem to avoid holding umbrellas.

Not a manly action to hold one.

40. Yes, it's Hugh Rodham.
That pic was taken in 1999. BTW, her youngest brother Tony married Barbara Boxer's daughter, Nicole at the WH in 1994. They divorced in 2007.

Looking for info. on the brothers I found this cute pic of Hillary when she was 3 years old.

46. Wasn't she a pretty child?
There's a video to go with it. A neighbor of theirs in Scranton, PA talks about the family. This lady was a friend of her mom and they were both pregnant at the same time when her mom was pregnant with Hillary. She said that Hillary had been a beautiful child and very smart, always asking questions.

:hi:

51. LOL. I wonder if my daughter will end up like Hillary some day.
She is always bugging me, questioning every LITTLE thing. It drives me crazy but I know she is just trying to learn as much as she can about the world. She is only 5 but boy, does she want to know everything and know it now.

38. I wish people would get it right -
the hand over your heart is for the Pledge of Allegiance, not for the playing of Taps, nor is it for the Star Spangled Banner.

I don't know when this misapprehension began, but it's embarrassing.

And I love these people. LOVE them.

Our President getting soaking wet, pressing the flesh on 9/11. Simply wonderful.

He's getting so gray so quickly!

Beautiful photos. Thank you very much...............................

48. You are absolutely right, however . . .
this correctness is something that seems to be rapidly fading from memory, and the Repugs can't wait to ignore all that is right and good and jump on any excuse for criticism. I'm sure the Obamas know what is correct, but perhaps it was wise that they chose what was "politically correct" so that lesser souls would not mar the day.

28. My god; this is the first time I've choked up over a photo
of a sitting President. Those pictures of him standing, soaking wet, talking to those families move me almost beyond words. It would have been so easy to have someone follow him around with an umbrella. I think it was a deliberate statement on his part, and a lovely one. How on earth can people hate him? Disagree, sure, that's the American perogative. But hate? That's just broken.

These pics are so sweet, Jackeens..thank you! I haven't seen anything else on what the Pres did today so I was wondering where the news was..well, here it is in pictures.

I'd read yesterday that the corpmedia were all up in a tizzy because he was going to a ceremony at the Pentagon instead of ground zero?

This looks like a very solemn beautiful way to honor those who fell on 9/11.:patriot::patriot:

I have never, ever before seen a photo of the President and First Lady of the United States of America standing together with the cooks and the maintenance staff to honor anything or anyone. It is easily overlooked or glossed over by the other photographs here, but this is a historic photograph.
