1. If this is exactly what the polls show on election eve, we win. The polls
understate how much Dem voters really, really, really hate Bush this time. We will vote like Dems have never voted before. Ther will be new Dem enrollees and there will be plenty of yound Dems who don't want to be drafted.

If all Bush has is a three point lead in key battleground states the dday before the election, Rove will have brown shorts, for sure.

3. why the hell even bother polling NC?
We've never been ahead in a poll there this year. Virginia maybe. NC, no way.

4. Oh, let us NC'ers dream.
We are working so hard! I have seen better NC polls, but never one that actually put Kerry ahead.

The senate and governors races are both looking very favorable for the dems, so there is that.

6. I am with you.
I don't know much about polls, but I know how to work like hell and that is what I have been doing. Lots of people have.

So what if NC goes red. We can still elect a democratic senator and governor and put tons of dems in local office. Not so bad. And I will know that I did my part.
