Reagan Gave National Address to Students
In the early afternoon hours of November 14, 1988, President Reagan, seated in the White House State Dining Room, proclaimed that he was “particularly pleased to be talking to American students” and then added ”a special hello to those of you who are watching on C-Span.”

Much more, including text of speech at link-

Hypocrisy knows no bounds. Maybe someone should tell the msm about this.

2. I thought this was something I remembered all of them doing.
All I did was google Reagan and students. Took me all of 9 seconds to find this.

4. You should read the speech.
It's a hoot. It's like reading text from a bushie town hall.

5. LOL. We used to make fun of old Ronnie in school by acting old and doddering.
It was clear by the end he was losing it.
Seems kind of sad now knowing he had the early signs of Alzheimer's disease(which my own Grandmother has as well). But he should never been given a second term...who ran things when he was out of it any way?

6. Reagun & bUsh were REPUBLICANS.
And white.

It's ok when white Republicans give "stay in school and study hard" speeches to our kids.

8. I can attest to the fact that I must have watched both of these addresses and never became a RWer
I am pretty sure my kid (who is in kindergarten now) won't come home spouting socialist rhetoric, not that I would mind.

9. don't you remember the nation-wide, TV news-supported (/driven) call to boycott schools
those days from the left?

I mean, everyone keeps saying both sides are the same thing, but for some reason I don't recall a boycott or a big fuss. Hell, I thought both Reagan and Bush I were murdering, lying asshats (because they were, not from some fantasy), but I still made it a point to listen to them.

10. Yep.
This is beyond the pale and I can't believe msm is not calling people on it.

What am I saying? Of course I can believe it.

14. Don't feel bad.
Your overwhelming desire to believe in the fairness of the Republican Party, the media, and life in general probably makes that happen occasionally. I know that I suffer from that "failing" too at times.

Why is it they never seem to count that half?
