1. Then it 's not about
The People and we're the ones who give ratings and buy sponsored products.

2. When people are all happy about something Matthews does,
I never get too excited, because I know one of these threads will eventually come back along.

Remember who signs his paychecks. He may do OK one day, but his Repub bosses will always make sure the Repubs get their "fair shake" and then some.

3. His show is abysmal today
Edited on Mon Aug-17-09 04:52 PM by senseandsensibility
He even puffed up delay's appearance on dancing with the stars, and announced that he would be on his show tomorrow. Not one hint of negativity from him, either. He loves him some delay. Even the conservative AOL start page referred to delay as a disgraced politician today in a headline about his dancing with the stars appearance. Jeez.:(

7. Yes, maybe that pissed me off even more. All his puffery over Delay the criminal

is wrong. And I know it was sad about that soldier who was killed in service, but why does he deserve a teevee fundraiser over the other 4000+ killed soldiers? Let Matthews pass the hat around the office instead of using his show. The other soldiers' families need college money and clothes, too.

5. the part that made me sick...

Is when he and his panel tried to tell us what 'the left' would think if the public option isn't included in the final bill.

Answer: we'll be thrilled just to GET a bill. Who knew?

He also loves the idea of mandates. I wonder if he's getting a commission from the insurance industry?

6. Chris is pushing CO-OPs .and he does not realize what CO-OPs
are about.

The Country is better off with no bill.

The Republicans will not even vote for it I am sure. They will
be waiting for the CO-Op to fail when implemented. CO-OPs
have been tried and failed. I give you Blue Cross Blue Shield.

10. I wondered how he was going to be after O'Donnell's stallar performance last week.
I'd trade out Matthews in a heartbeat.

11. As bad as Matthews is to watch, he's worse if you just listen
You can hear him periodically suck the drool back into his mouth.

It's a disgusting sound.

13. Is it me or does he look awful?
After a vacation, most folks looked tanned and refreshed. He looks pasty and haggard.
