Big Ed is going to be livid I think Randy is on vacation all next week so we will not hear what she says.

1. let's not let this be a self fulfilling prophesy- don't let the media
manipulate the reality.

4. Whats there to call out?
Did Sebelious say it? Was she speaking for the President? If the answers are yes and yes, what is there to call out?

5. I don't believe the answers are "yes" and "yes".
Look carefully at the way the media is taking selected snips out of many sentences and spinning it to mean that the public option is all but DEAD.

They aren't "reporting" the news- they are MANIPULATING it. And it happens all the time- we need to listen clearly- and not accept what the "reporters" say at face value.

I don't believe the media without checking for facts to back up what has been said.

So, I call them out on not reporting the news, but trying to influence public opinion.

6. I can accept that
And, having just done due diligence and actually having listened to the Sibelius clip in question, I agree with you to some extent.

The media is manipulating the news. However, they are doing what they are trained to do. When someone refuses to say something, they project into that void, and what they project is skewed to what they are paid to project.

12. i thought reporters were sposed to 'report' and editorialists were
the ones who were allowed to put their own perspective into the mix-

hey, we can dream eh? The problem with the skewing of the news is that many people tend to just accept the media's take, and it often becomes reality as a result-

thanks for checkin it out for yourself though, and replying-

:hi:

i really appreciate that.

10. Duers always say the media distorts reality, and then they lap up everything
they say. If John King and the nutty DUer, Murdoch, say it's true, it must be.

11. bit of a broad brush you wield there and a pretty prejudiced
statement, imo
but then, i'm not afraid to think and speak for MYSELF.

8. Big Ed should consider the source.
But a lot of Democratic outrage may be just what we need. So bring it.
