1. This is EXCELLENT. Steve Rothman has a keen grasp of what's needed and is an eloquent
advocate for healthcare reform in the form of Medicare for ALL Americans.

He is debunking wingnut myths right and left.

I have to go back to work now.

Thanks for posting this RepublicanElephant.

Recommend.

2. I find it baffling Americans are brainwashed to accept being worth Nothing...
Watching this townhall and it amazes me to hear people boo at things like single payer and choices that would ultimately better their lives. Fear is a powerful thing.

Thankfully i live in a civilized nation that realizes the importance of the people. I think America will ultimately grow up but u can see that it will be in baby steps. There is no chance a single-payer system would ever have passed unless you went with a message of "Medicare for All" and that is a tough sell listening to these regular folk...very strange.

4. There are some people asking reasonable questions,
naming the astroturfers for what they are, etc. Good to see the progressives coming out.

5. he's doing a terrific job. those scared old people shouldn't be mocked...
but it seems a repeated feature of town halls. some crazy white woman stands up and in the middle of her rant starts bawling about how "this isn't America anymore" and we should be allowed to protest, yada yada. What do you thinnk you're doing stupid old crone? You are registering your opposing opinion in a public forum without being frog marched to the gulags. Man, people are stupid. Also easily duped by their continual background noise of FoxNews crazy. How the hell can those people be exposed any more than they are? Watching them is to say you want to be manipulated.

I believe this is the next thing Dems need ot message on very hard and consistently. Give examples of how crazy their shit over at FoxNews is so maybe these people will start turning the dial. They'd be better served watching Sponge Bob.

8. Just tuned in to this. Asking people questions about their thoughts and impressions is a good idea.
Let them prove their understanding or ignorance on the issues and either agree or correct them and move on.
