8. Incredible display of ignorance. I feel like I'm watching the movie Idiocracy acted out on CNN.
It's really scary to think that this many people are so blind to the truth and hateful of factual information.

Cardin is handling himself well so far.

6. I gotta give it to these senators and members of congress who stand up and deal with these loons!
They are faced with the biggest bunch of f-ing idiots imaginable, yet they stand up and try to correct the misinformation. These wackos in this audience are just unhinged. Really unreal to witness.

13. And this guy is convinced he's on the Gvmnt hit list for those who will not receive care. He is a
Christian though and isn't afraid of death. These people are truly ignorant beyond belief and so filled with right-wing hate radio "facts" that they don't know what color the sky is anymore.

They just don't understand anything but, the evil gubmint is bad, bad, bad, and we don't need them in our lives, but DON'T touch our medicare or social security!

19. These hecklers are simply racist Palinist sore losers
They will be irrelevant in any elections. They are simply outnumbered by sensible, mature people with manners who also have the ability to think for themselves and not get their propaganda from college dropouts like Limbaugh, Beck, Hannity and the rest of the buffoons.

They are, in the end, irrelevant. And scum.

21. If Public Option is getting this much resistance Single-Payer had no Chance.
I find that Obama, Weiner (sp?) and a few others are very good at making it clear about Healthcare reform because it seems the people who are listening and asking these questions to these senator/reps are not getting it through their heads....They boo and hiss unnecessarily even if the answer benefits them.

These townhall meetings prbably should be re-worked by several of these senators/reps to do a better job at introductions since even i can answer most of these questions that keep getting asked when it is open for Q&A.

among voters, and they know it. That's why they have to scream.

25. So true
The single payer or nothing crowd thinks if Obama goes around selling selling single payer the American people are going to have this great progressive awakening and get behind it. Hell, look how this more modest plan has sent people off the deep end, too many in the country have been brainwashed with free market=good socialism=evil BS and the idea these people are suddenly going see the light once SP is explained to them is incredibly naive.

These ignorant, spittle faced, raging racists may just be doing a world of good for us. Their ugliness may just make the majority of Americas support health care reform.

36. This is my home district or was until a couple months ago
a lot of my friends went to HCC were the event was held and while I understand that the district is conservative, it is not as bad as it looks. Like most rural areas there are rednecks but there are also well educated professionals. If it wasn't for work I would have been at this event in a heartbeat but I got the email about it far too late to request off work.
