Follow up not heard yesterday after the "big pharma is promising 80,000,000,000"
My first thought when he mentioned the pharmaceutical companies yesterday was WHY?
What are these companies getting in return for their investment?

Are they paying for price locks and non-negotiated contracts with a hypothetical public option?

3. As I understand it
they are promising to close the dough nut hole in medicare part D. In return, it looks like there is no change in pharmaceutical prices anywhere else.

4. Small concession to continue their profiteering off the masses -

They are price gouging American citizens, some to their literal deathes.
