4. Yes, I read your earlier thread. The prez tried to communicate
with doubters, asked for their input, but the m$nbc apparently missed that. :eyes:

3. Well let's be honest if folks were acting unhinged they probably weren't let in. . .
. . .so it is fair to say the crowd was pre-selected.

7. Um, every crowd that gets in to see the President is "pre-selected". It's called "security". Durr.

17. No question about it.
The evidence is how quickly they cut to the Claire McCaskill town hall to watch her get shouted at by her audience.

6. I don't think the crowd was....but of course he knew about the questions.
it was way too "in control" but with a little fake "opposition" thrown in so they could be foils for Obama. The time to have a town hall that is free wheeling as president is when you are a candidate. Once president, these opportunities have to have some scripting. Otherwise things can go horribly wrong and defeat the purpose of even having one.

They're trying to win over some on the fence--not the birthers or disruptors. They would be against free pie for everyone.

10. Now Contessa saying it was 'staffed with plants'. Ugh.
People signed up on line, per Ron Allen, seemingly the voice of reason at the moment.

20. Contact msnbc..It was explained how the people
were selected on their website and the President made a comment during the meeting making sure people knew they weren't "plants".

President Obama called out the "media" several times and we know they don't like that.

12. I thought he hit it out of the ballpark, but
where the hell was MSNBC. Obviously not watching. I am livid. Andrea couldn't even sum up the event fairly. Wham bam, thank you maam, he shouldn't have had a townhall, it was too friendly, now let's go on to other news. Obviously MSNBC wanted the mob to be there and create a brawl. It was exactly what it should have been and all townhalls should be- a respectful asking of questions with the asker listening to the answer. Switched to FauxNews and they weren't even talking about it. 24 cable news is a joke because they have an agenda and it is not reporting or commenting on the news.

21. Their own reporter on the scene said the majority of the people he
interviewed said they were selected at random, relatively few people received tickets through the Dem party as supporters. Andrea Mitchell is neither credible nor watchable.
