We must FRAME this healthcare debate. (Framing is using language to create emotional imagery to brand the political opposition or a policy. Right now the right wing is using frames such as "Obamacare" and "death panels" and "socialism" and other such frames.) Here are some excellent frames we should be using BIGTIME to brand the opposition.
* "ANTI-HEALTHCARE" * "HEALTHCARE OPPONENTS" * "ANTI-REFORMERS" * "ANTI-REFORM CROWD" * "REFORM OPPONENTS" * "DEFENDERS OF THE STATUS QUO" * "TOWN HALL DISRUPTERS" * "SAY NO TO REFORM CROWD" * "ANTI-OBAMA CROWD" * "PRO-STATUS QUO CROWD" * "OBAMA HATERS" * "REFORM HATERS"
I would like to ask for other serious suggestions. Whatever we decide upon, the left/left-leaners need to UNITE and start framing this debate BIGTIME ! We need to brand the ANTI-REFORMERS for what they are and mantra it everywhere. And remember, the right wingers (I mean the dumb redneck rabid ranters) could really care less about healthcare. It is ALL ABOUT POLITICS. They think if Obama and Dems fail on healthcare, they can win seats in 2010 and win again in 2012. They are "angry" about Obama in the White House and Dems controlling Congress, NOT about healthcare. And they are being organized by corporate right wing pro-GOP groups spreading propaganda lies to their STUPID tools who are perfect con marks because they know they hate Obama and Dems so they get to kill two birds with one stone: disrupt the healthcare debate, and allow Obama Haters to vent their crazy political anger. Plain and simple. Thanks.
