I'm glad that Sotomayor is confirmed
and, since it's clear that the Republicans will fight ANY nominee of Obama's and try to caricaturize them as activist socialists, even when they're not - why not use the next vacancy to nominate a strong, intellectual academic (and if they happen to be an African American woman or a gay woman, even better) who can serve to counterbalance Scalia, Alito and Roberts.

We're not going to have sixty votes forever.

Let's get ONE liberal super-intellect on the Court while we have the WH.

2. I think Sotomayor *IS* a "liberal super-intellect"....

...and I expect all of Obama's nominees to be the same.

3. She's not an academic
nor is she a legal scholar. She's a strong, good, very bright center-left judge, per her opinions over many years.
