They'd better take a break in their wall-to-wall Jacko coverage to cover Franken's presser at 5:15!!

4. I'll take it
At least they're no longer howling about how Sotomayor was rebuked 9-0!! I'm still reeling over that bit of GOP logic.

5. Franken speaking at press conference; CNN taking an ad break.
Well, at least they are honest about their lack of news judgment.

9. CNN actually avoided Franken press conference to talk about how thunderstorm in NYC affected signal
from MJ memorial at Apollo. Instead of Al Franken, they have Al Sharpton. Talking about Michael Jackson.

We don't care about health care, or other issues on which a 60th Dem. senator could make a difference. We care that a NYC thunderstorm is keeping us from seeing the Michael Jackson tribute.

CNN sucks!

14. I'm not asking for 24/7 coverage. I'm asking for them to cover his short statement.
I'm asking them to take a goddamned break from the nonstop goddamned Michael Jackson coverage to inform the nation that there's a 60th Democratic senator, and let them hear a few words from Franken about how he intends to represent Minnesota.

Then again ... maybe we can get some interesting legislation passed while the media is obsessing over Jacko.

15. Most Americans have no clue about Franken, while the world mourns MJ
Take your pick.

Look, I'm happy for Franken. I love politics, but damn it, MJ a hell of a story to cover. It's getting high ratings. You gotta expect CNN, whose ratings are in the toilet, to try get to some new viewers. So if you don't like the MJ coverage, watch FoxNews or Bloomberg. I for one am very happy to see the Apollo on TV anytime!
