Nebraska Rep. Lobs F-Bomb at D.C. Driver

The invective that CQ reporter Richard Rubin overheard at 1st and C streets Southeast from Republican Rep. Lee Terry this morning is hardly the kind of language you'd expect to hear in Omaha on a Sunday morning.



But Terry was crossing a Washington street during a workweek when a local driver called him out for jaywalking.

"Can't you read the sign?" the driver shouted.

"fuck you!" Terry retorted.

"Really?" the driver asked.

"Really," Terry confirmed.

Normally very genial, Terry can lose his temper on occasion. Not too long ago he ended up in a face-to-face confrontation with Rep. Jesse L. Jackson Jr. on the House floor.

More and more every day people seem to be losing that sense of when you should just keep your mouth shut instead of vocalizing everything that comes to mind.

I get tired of people in this country being so focused on decorum, just because it's "easy" to understand.

"Have manners"..."Don't cheat on your wife" is much easier for the public to understand than how the legislative process works, so they gravitate towards irrelevant crap like an "F-bomb" when the media or some politician dangles it in their faces.

Gives me the vision of baby birds chirping with mouths wide open as the mother bird (the media/distractorcons) shove regurgitated nonsense down their throats.
