SC Senator on MSNBC says Sanford is a man for revealing his affair.
Whoever the hell the Senator is that made that statement is a fn idiot. The only reason Sanford admitted to the affair was because he couldn't escape the medias focus on his trip.

4. Then I must be a fn idiot, because I think his candidness was
not the norm. Exhibit A would be Ensign, who gave a brief statement and split. This guy took questions and owned up, something I suspect Ensign hasn't done totally yet.

5. I think the issue is...
...that you typically don't give someone credit for driving you to the hospital if they're the one who shot you.

7. If he hadn't gotten caught at the airport he would have stuck to the Appalachian Trail story.
What a bogus thing, to give him credit. All these Republicans man-up, once they get caught red-handed.

9. Yeah,
When a republican has an affair and "finally" admits to it, he is a man. When a democrat does the same thing, he is a terrible person, a jerk, a sinner, etc. Don't you just love the double standards they have? I mean aren't they supposed to be the party with the "higher" moral standards?

10. Sanford only admitted the affair when there was so much media scrutiny on him being missing.
Edited on Wed Jun-24-09 01:58 PM by 4lbs
If Sanford had simply told his Lt. Gov that he was leaving for 5 or 6 days to 'clear his head' (there's a sex joke in there I know it!) and that the Lt. Gov was in charge during that time, Sanford could easily have continued the affair without anyone knowing.

Would he have been a 'man' and admitted to it when he got back then? No freaking way!

How much of a man are you when you only admit to something after being caught?
