Wow - Chris Matthews calls some press conference questions "snarky."
And he was absolutely right - how nice to hear someone actually say it!

1. It's good to hear him say that also
The press pool is pretty smug and snarky. I'm glad that the Pres. let them know that they're not going to run over him.

20. Rude Pundit on major garett and more..
<snip from link in GD>>>>

"So at his news conference today, we got the Obama we elected, the cool, can't-be-fucked-with man who has answers up his sleeve that will make you wonder how the fuck he did that. To listen to his takedown of whiny ass insurance companies is to think that the man really does want to trick Americans into universal health care. And his exchange with Major Garrett of Fox "news" was a model for anyone going on that network: reject the premise and tell them how and where they can go fuck themselves.

Immediately after, on the CNNMSNBCFox, they were talking about how the man should have shown more anger when condemning the violence in Iran. But that misses the point entirely. By not getting all unhinged and finger wagging and stumblefucking into saying stupid shit like "With us or against us," Obama maintains strength."

21. "stumblefucking into saying stupid shit" is an apt description of the Fecal Fuhrer, indeed.
Gawd I detest that piece of corrupt maggot shit. Obama isn't even in the same phylum with Junior Turdforbrains.

9. Obama should have press conferences in regional centers, where LOCAL media could ask him stuff.
Like, have a couple of pressers in the Midwest, where medium-sized local media outlets could ask questions the folks in middle America want asked.

Have one in the Carolinas, where mid-sized Southeastern media could ask questions.

Get Obama out of the bubble; let the country see him answering The People's Questions.

12. This is both a good idea and a very bad one.
If you want to see stupid, inane, snarky questions asked of the President, just stick him in a room with a bunch of local TV reporters. They'd outdo the WH press corps in 5 minutes.

14. Well, the local newspapers would probably ask him good stuff.
And you might be surprised at the questions local TV asks; our local station gets a lot of crap for being lightweight, but when a big politico comes to town, they can surprise you, and ask good Q's

24. "Not this shit again."
Me quoted exactly from when that reporter asked the cigarettes question.

Why the fascination with Obama's smoking? Is it anybody's business, or the most important topic of the day, considering what's happening around the world?
