We all know that power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

The Democratic Party. The Republican Party. Two heads of the same corporate monster that now dictates the laws of this land. We have wars in the name of peace. Retraction of rights in the name of freedom. Up is down. Left is right. Those who speak truth are marginalized as the 'far left' (even if they are old school Conservatives). The wealth of the bottom 95% is pillaged by the top 5%.

And, we lay down and die.

With a exception of a VERY few brave activists (think Cindy Sheehan, Code Pink, Veterans for Truth, and the like)....we remain immobilized...

e-mail campaigns and message board discussions do little to change policy without serious follow-up in the real world and on-the-ground.

For the most part, we just take it. This needs to stop. We have to allow ourselves to feel our anger and use it to motivate us to fight back. Push back. Speak out. Show up. En masse. Every week.

Can you imagine if we all showed up? Can you imagine if every person who wants single payer health care spoke out?

We allow it. We allow all of it. They take and take and take. Our money, our freedoms, our power....And, thus far, they have done so with little to no consequence. So, why wouldn't they continue to take more? Take everything. What is there to stop them?

Greed and power are insatiable forces. Utterly destructive forces that eventually will implode everything in its path.

In this case, the human race...the globe...the future of man-kind...

Are you ready to show up?

Because we are MANY and they are few.

And, our freedom and power is ours for the taking. If only we decide to do so.

5. baloney. codswallop. one cliche after another.
anyone who thinks that the "freedom and power is ours for the taking" is thinking in simplistic and silly bromides. That's not thinking. Just how is "freedom and power" ours for the taking. Bland bromides don't mean a thing. nothing but silly ranting on a website. How brave of you! How noble!. It's all so simple. Not.

6. Probably only 1% of Americans even know what single payer is
Most people are tolerably appy with their current insurance. They don't like the system to be greatly shaken.
