The point is that she is the one exploiting Willow as it takes a sick mind to imagine that Letterman was talking about her and not Bristol. Not that the joke was not sexist in the first place, but Palin exploited that from a sexist stupid joke about her 18 year daughter who is already in the limelight because of her to a sick, demeaning story concerning her 14 year old daughter.

Of course, Lauer did not have the guts to tell her so, but you could see that even him did not believe in the excuse that it was Bristol.

Todd was the one obessing about the "raping of Willow" - he brought it up all by himself, and appropo of nothing that had been said. What the hell is that about?

These people prove over and over how little class they have. As I said last fall, if only ONCE one of them would take the high road and be gracious about something - for example, said they accepted that the lipstick on a pig thing wasn't aimed at Sarah, or here accepting Letterman's apology and explanation - they could go a long way toward rehabilitating the in-the-shithouse reputation of the GOP. But thank goodness, they once again prove they'd rather fan the flames of fake outrage.

Letterman is an entertainer. He slams politicians constantly. But the Palins are now ginning up outrage against the guy and again playing the victim. I'm so freakin' sick of them and their lack of class. But, on the other hand, I'm glad they're the same as ever. Because once again, they're overreaching with their nastiness and showing what asses they - and their party - are.

I watched the video and for her to say wed be naive to believe that he was talking about Bristol is ridiculous.

She was the daughter that got knocked up, thats why he did the joke. Like most people, we kind of all forgot that she had another daughter. But its pretty despicable the way she on purpose doesnt believe Letterman's explanation, kind of like when Obama made the lipstick on a pig reference.

You know, though i laughed, for Letterman's job as a late night host on a major network, Id agree that his jokes were probably in bad taste (more so the slutty one), but I just cant feel any sympathy for her and her family because of the way she reacts
