It's time Barny Frank puts his balls on the line for gay rights. This isn't against him but can you
imagine the absolute power this guy could swing for us if he really went to bat.

I can't help but feel we are right on the edge for gays rights and all we have to do is kick it over.

Okay please don't ban me from DU. I like Frank a great deal.

1. Barney Doesn't Put His Balls On The Line For Anything
Barney is my Congressman, and he's a politician. He's funny and generally has his heart in the right place, but he can switch opinions in an instant if the political winds shift.

5. To Put This In Perspective...
I don't think a white male heterosexual could conceivably get elected as a Representative in my district.

And that's OK.

8. What Do You Do (or Want to Do) For A Living?
Would you want to live in Boston proper, or in a suburb?

10. I'd tend to disagree, also coming from his district.
There are plenty of WASPS and that's fine, the one's we keep getting however, that isn't.

4. Oh God - Not In The Same Universe!
Just think - all of the New England states have legalized gay marriage - the only state outside of New England to do so is Iowa. Standards here are a lot different than the rest of the US!

But you're always welcome to move up here brother - we also have (almost) universal health care, and people are pretty nice to each other!

6. I want too truly, I can't think of a progressive part of the country where I would not better.
Love Boston, hell even Maine the right wing extremist state of New England!!!

Want to. I'm trying.

9. Barney has been inside the Beltway for far too long. He mishandled the bank bail-outs and he has no
fire in the belly for taking a stand against Obama's anti-gay positions.

Not gonna happen.
