23. Kind of off the subject and you might already know this

but Prince Charles is in a very embarrassing situation here. Sarkosy only invited Obama to this ceremony to show strong ties between the US and France. The Queen didn't even know about this memorial and wasn't invited. She has attended every ceremony at Normady since the first. She also worked full time during the blitz driving jeeps and as a mechanic. So although she wasn't in the military she did serve throughout the war.

Gordon Brown weaseled his way into the ceremony and wasn't originally invited to be there either.

Protocol usually takes about 6 months in planning and how the Prince finally went is not known to me but he is taking it on the chin. This situation is an embarrassment to Britain and I image his blood pressure it sky high.

The Queen gave Sarkosy a Royal welcome when he came to Britain. It is too bad Sarkosy couldn't do the same. Of course his first concern is Obama and I can understand that since I also love Obama and his family.

Also, I am not pro any country but the US and have a Irish bloodline but am only speaking the circumstances not to place any blame on anyone.
