Has Rendell Given Pennsylvania To Sestak?
Ed Rendell is a Governor whose Political Antenna led him to say "Obama could not win Pennsylvania", a man who also stated Fox News had the best Primary coverage. Who said "I think during this entire primary coverage, starting in Iowa and up to the present, Fox has done the fairest job, has remained the most objective of all the cable networks."

Well he has now come out and given his firm backing to Arlen Specter. He stated that ifthe congressman ran against Specter in the Democratic primary he would lose and fade into political obscurity.

Going on to say, "I'm a great admirer of Joe Sestak and worked hard to get him elected and re-elected," Rendell said. "And I'm going to work hard to get him re-elected when he runs for Congress next year. Not for the Senate. Joe should not run for the Senate in the Democratic primary. He would get killed."

Now what was the advice he gave to the man who is now President?

Sestak may do well to follow the lead of the then Primary Candidate Barrack Obama with regard to advice from Rendell - who if I remember won that state by 11 points.

1. Except that Sestak really does need to get out there..
.. and start speaking to a wide audience
and he needs to campaign actually.

3. I do not think he underestimates the need to campaign
but with opponents like Rendell, it helps towards the win.

5. Rendell was a Hillary supporter, so re Faux News, Rendell was probably
propping up Faux because Faux was pushing for Hillary to be the Dem. nominee, while other stations were merely reporting, which was being perceived by some to be ignoring the obvious fact that Hillary should and would win. (If I remember the mindset at the time.)

That changed later, when Rendell supported Obama, once he became the nominee, and predicted that Obama would win Pennsylvania. Which he did.

Typical politics....except for the supporting of Faux News. That was un-frickin'-believable.

7. huh? Hillary won the Pennsylvania primary, didn't she?
Obama won the state in the general, of course, but Rendell said he would.

12. A 9 point lead was not the
walkover he predicted though, in fact given that was a test of the kitchen sink strategy it was a very Pyrrhic victory that actually helped Obama more. As a result it is worth taking the advice of Rendell with a pinch of salt.

8. Rendell-Specter Quid Pro Quo
From CrooksandLiars.com

Rendell was the prime instigator in getting Specter to switch to the Democratic Party, and their history goes way back. Rendell's first job was in the DA's office in Philadelphia under Arlen Specter in the late 60's. (Rendell himself would later be elected District Attorney of Philadelphia in 1977.)

Rendell is part of the old Democrat party who are just Republican-wannabes. No real consideration about what would be good for the country just perpetuating their "phony baloney jobs" as Mel Brooks put it so well.

10. I actually think the party might be happy about Sestak
Seriously, what better way to keep Specter in line?

And I think either one of them would beat Toomey.

death knell for what's his name..specter.

And, the preview of coming victory for Sestak~ What's not to like in his resume?
