Isn't it strange: Sotomayor vs Steele...
Isn't it so bizarre that so many members of a national party that chose a black man as a figure head for their national party mainly as a reason to symbolically reach out to people of color are now declaring that Obama simply chose Sotomayor because she is a Latina?

Do these ignorant dip shits even pay attention to themselves?

1. K & R, great thoughts on DU tonight about Repug hypocrisy on Sotomayor
The Clarence THomas quote/video being the other one, but this one is terrific too!

2. When are we going to get past the part where all we know is her gender and race?
Why is there no interest in her brilliant legal mind?

3. Steele was hired for one reason only. GOP's racial cover for attacking Obama.
when Michael Steele made more of his artless noise again the other day saying Obama was just a dude hired because of his color or something to that effect, it was very clear my cynicism had been correct. They hired him because it is so difficult for the party of old white dudes to take shots at our first African American president.

Sure enough, that's about the only thing other Republican leaders agree Mr. Steele has managed to do without screwing up. Unlike the other 99% of the time he opens his mouth.

4. In short,
...no, they don't. They have absolutely no self-awareness.
