Flush from his victory over the Democratic controlled House, Pawlenty
Edited on Tue May-26-09 03:07 PM by question everything
is not going to certify Franken no matter how the Minnesota Supreme Court rules.

He will ride with Coleman and with the RNC - whom he hopes to lead in 2012 - all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court. The question is: will the Supreme Court take it immediately, as it did in December 2000?

3. After the Minnesota Supreme Court rules that Franken won...
...Franken will seek an order from them for the governor and Secretary of State to certify him.

If they do so, then Governor Tim Pawlenty won't defy a court order.

5. Yep, that's how it iwll play out
What Coleman and Pawlenty are going for is keeping Franken out of his seat until after the August recess.

10. I hope that you are right
I don't trust him, not with high ambitions to be the Republican nominee. Now he even has an opinion about whether Powell is still a Republican.

Thankfully, the Secretary of State is a Democrat.

8. Hell, I would think FRANKEN would be up in arms
As of today 6.39% of the term he was elected to has already expired.

But as yet, barely a peep out of him. Doe he really want this job?
