Tameron just mentioned it on MSNBC. Damn...it's too bad. That is not a good thing. A virus breaking out in a prison?! How do you quarantine that?!

Sounds like the plot for an Irwen Allen film (I was raised on his films).

1. You don't. And you can guess that there may well be more than
4 cases. It will spread like wildfire there. Jails are a hotbed of contagion and infections spread rapidly. There also are adequate care and isolation facilities, nor is it an environment conducive to handwashing and cleanliness. Not good, but it's to be expected.

5. They take it home. What makes this worse is that they can't "shut down" the prison. n/t

7. H1N1 is less dangerous than normal flu. I wouldn't lose sleep over this.
When and if we see unacceptable, unusual mortality numbers, THEN we can get scared.

9. It's not less dangerous, it's about equally dangerous
It does seem to be more infectious as people have less natural resistance, so more young healthy people get it and thus are somewhat more likely to become dangerously ill.

Still, it's nothing to panic about.

11. The mortality, at least outside of Mexico, is FAR lower than seasonal flu.
For now.

This thing still bears watching. It could go rogue at any point.
