The President meets with Newt ... et al.
Have they ever spoken face to face before like this? Oh to be a lil' fly on a lil' round wall.....

Gingrich no Obama fan
By CAROL E. LEE

The awkward factor will be high today when Newt Gingrich and President Obama meet face-to-face in the Oval Office.

The former Speaker has been one of the harshest, most vocal and most colorful critics of Obama’s term in office.

(Also present at this meeting will be Al Sharpton and Michael Bloomberg. They requested to meet with the President on education reform.)

I've got WAY more confidence in Barack than I do in Newt and I bet all of y'all a Ray's Hell Burger special with a side of fried potatoes that Newt will come out of this a slightly changed man and will soften his tone for a bit ... at least until the callouses reform over his cold ugly heart. :)

1. This is the type of meeting where Larry "Sleepy" Summers belonged.
It's an absolute insult that Sleepy Summers fell asleep in the important meeting with the usury card industry. In fact Obama shouldn't meet with Newt until he fixes the usury industry--but good.

13. Sharpton, Newt, and Bloomberg all asked to meet with him.
He didn't go seeking to talk to them.

9. In private, bet there is a collective nod to political stagecraft. Obama was surprised at how the
dire global situations, the economy, didn't change the political gamesmanship for one minute. The 2010 campaign was upon him from day one. He's no longer surprised, but why is Newt to be there? What issue? Get advice on how GOP can wotk with Dems? Climate change?

12. I don't know how Obama does it. I wouldn't have met with Newt.
I would have told him to kiss my ass. But in my opinion, Obama is truly a different type of politician. Meeting with a prick like Newt whos called him Weak several times.

16. You know,
I have to admit, when I saw the headlines I thought....WHAT???
the PRICK thats been spewing thrash about, I guess its a challenge
to him to meet with his critics.

These are the kind of meetings where you use your intelligence to
make the other guy look silly, you expose their idiocy just to
prove a point.

Listening to the sound bite Keith played, I could not make out any
thing intelligent that came out but babbling, what a flip-flopper....
after calling the President weak.
