Simple suggestion for better relations with Latin America
President Obama is off to a basically good start, but here's what he could say that would really make things good:

"OK, guys...it's simple.

All that stuff we did to you back in the day?

We're sorry, We were wrong and we'll NEVER do it again."

Anybody got a problem with that?

1. It would be a damned good start. Prosecuting a few of our death squads
might help too.

3. This is a president who could MAKE IT good politics.
Fact is, the majority of the country doesn't want us to be imperialist anymore, and accepts that Latin America has the right to do what it wants. Why shouldn't our leader just embrace that?
