in a long time that we have someone working for us.

Yea, I know, certain issues don't sit well, but I am done with the hate and despair.

Peace to everyone who feels the same way or wants to argue. I don't.

He's meeting and surpassing my expectations on a lot of issues. And where I do have some issues or concerns, I feel he earned and deserves the time to address them properly since most of the concerns are on nothing definitive but being considered as a last resort. (Pakistan bombings comes to mind.)

I usually hear the sh sound but some use the soft s, "tiss-you".

And, dare I ask, "over" or "under"?

I have an opinion on this, not a strong one, but an opinion.

40. We've got five ...

... count'em FIVE independently verified by my cousin John (Doe) based on third hand eye-witness testimony of anonymous sources.

And if it's not on in the am, look for it in the pm or the overnight ... one of those ... for sure.

Oh, and FWIW, I have a flight in the morning ... small plane, flying over the mountains. See ya when I land!

I like your photo as well. That photo embodies AMERICA for me: two beautiful children, a no-nonsense loving mom and a proud as punch father-a father who took his family all the way to the White House!!! Your photo is proof that the American Dream is still alive, that America can truly change for the better! Yes We Can, Yes We Did and Yes We Will!

19. Ya know,
it's taken me a bit to adjust too, sis, but I think I'm getting there.

The theme of persistence is something that rings true with me. I think it was a good thing that Obama made that an explicit component of the national dialogue.

And getting over the need to conquer the "other" side is a theme that transcends the history of nations, cultures, tribes, families, brothers, and sisters.

But we can, because we have before, and because we know that we can do it better than it's been done before.

20. Letting war criminals go is just so freeing
Who cares about millions of displaced and killed Iraqis, people tortured in our name, 1000s of dead and wounded troops and, the likelihood of it happening all over again especially since the crimes aren't being addressed.

I've got health insurance, why the hell should I care, WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

27. Oh please. Compare and contrast between
this prez and the last, then get back to me. I refuse to be angry all the time anymore. You, every breath you take, that's what you do. Thankfully, we're different.

Yes, there are major injustices in this world and in our past that I cannot change.

I'd explode if I let them take hold and commandeer me. Two roads diverge... my sanity is at sake. How is yours?

41. Don't worry, be happy.
We still have got our war on. And we may start a new one.

Heck and we are being given the opportunity to be forced to give our tax dollars to private health insurers who deny care, enrich themselves, and deliver some of the worst morbidity and mortality outcomes in the industrialized world.

The Bush/Cheney crooks are still scott-free and getting big bucks for delivering speeches when they are not otherwise occupied playing arm-chair expert on Fox.

What is not to be happy about? I am overjoyed!!

Edited on Sat Mar-28-09 09:55 AM by lunatica
But being more clearheaded and less stressed to the gills might make a difference. Do you really think that only outrage and raving and ranting will change these things? We've all been there and done that. The best thing about banging your head against the wall is when you stop. That gives you the chance to think rationally about how to tackle the wall.

46. People mistake engagment and criticism for all these negative feelings. I'm engaged because
There's a point.

Unlike the last eight years, might voice might actually count for something. So I'm damn well going to speak my mind, even if that means being critical at times (which Obama already has repeatedly encouraged and welcomed, unlike some supporters) because it might actually mean something this time.

I'm critical because I'm hopeful. If I was in despair you wouldn't hear from me.
