Absurd Columbus Dispatch LTTE: Obama brings fear, new taxes
Obama offers fear and something else
(Columbus Dispatch, March 13, 2009)

I respond to the Monday letter "Limbaugh offers fear to America, little else," from Jane Wilcox. Has she paid attention to the news since President Barack Obama was elected? It's been nothing but fear and more taxes.

NATHAN "MUD" HODGES
Columbus

Gee, I pay attention to the news every day and the main source of "fear and more taxes" I see is Sean Hannity. I'll bet I know what "News" network "Mud" watches!

Here's the earlier LTTE "Mud" is referring to:

Limbaugh offers fear to America, little else
(Columbus Dispatch, March 9, 2009)

I have two reactions to Rush Limbaugh's speech at the Conservative Political Action Committee's conference on Feb. 28. First, it reminded me of how he used to describe America every day as "America held hostage" during the Clinton presidency. It was all about fear then, just as he is doing now. Does he have any new ideas at all?

Second, as Limbaugh said in his speech many times, this was his first address to the nation. So why wasn't he wearing a flag pin during this very important event?

JANE WILCOX

In a reversal of standard practice, the sensible letter is from the hinterlands and "Mud" the wingnut lives right here in the city with us normal folks!
