Associated Press - Asserts Rise In DOW Unrelated To Obama Administration! No Sources Cited
Edited on Thu Mar-12-09 07:41 PM by Median Democrat
You almost have to admire this ongoing spin by the mainstream media where opinion is disguised as journalism. Last week, we had the media blaming the DOW's fall on the Obama administration. This week, the media is careful to assure us that the rise in the DOW have nothing to do with the Obama administration. Sources anyone?

On Thursday, Wall Street extended its rally to a third day, and Conrad took note because the markets have not always responded well to Geithner's public utterances. "You've done a superb job," Conrad joked as the hearing came to a close shortly after noon. "Markets are up over 100."

The Dow Jones industrials rose 239.66 points for the day on a string of hopeful news, apparently unconnected to Geithner.

WTF is this? Conservative CNBC style commentary in the middle of what is a news story? You can easily see Murdoch's influence.

1. Funny, but not at all surprising how it was all Obama's fault when it was down.

5. Can You Imagine History If The Media Was Half As Aggressive In Offering Such Commentary Under Bush?
Edited on Thu Mar-12-09 10:06 PM by Median Democrat
The fact of the matter is that the media pretty much gave Bush a free pass, let alone implant opinion and commentary in stories about President Bush. For example, if the press treated Bush in the same way as they treat President Obama, they would say:

/snip

Bush stated in his speech, "Intelligence gathered by this and other governments leaves no doubt that the Iraq regime continues to possess and conceal some of the most lethal weapons ever devised. This regime has already used weapons of mass destruction against Iraq's neighbors and against Iraq's people."

However, former Abassador Joe Wilson contradicted these claims, and the Bush administration has worked steadily to build a case for going to war irrespective of the results of UN weapons inspections. Bush then engaged in a campaign to undermine Joe Wilson's credibility, which suggests that Bush is full of shit.

6. And, that's why in my opinion
the "media" is Public Enemy Number One. Waiting for the day that it has enough rope. Or will it come to a head some other way with the American People leading the charge?

8. What fucking
jokes they've become. Just last week when it was tanking it was "Wall Street has no confidence in Obama" but now that it's rising it has nothing to do with Obama.

Oh well, the "liberal" MSM are just as stupid as they've always been. Problem is they're not as relevant as they'd like to think they are any more.
