and when i say 'promote' i mean the GOP will create some mythical, higher-sounding position out of thin air, and give Steele a desk and a nice office somewhere (D.C. suburbs or somewhere in Florida) with no real power or responsibility and keep him out of sight and out of the way...Once in awhile they bring him out for speeches (especially to nonwhite audiences) or media appearances...

a shame, because unlike other DUers, I think Steele is a useful idiot and want him to stay where he is for awhile lest the party actually find someone who can actually do the job...
