Chuck Todd isn't that bright.
He may be good at crunching numbers with regards to elections, but he was hardly the best on that front. As NBC's White House correspondent he asks just moronically worded questions. I just heard him ask a question along the lines of "So, we understand now that Citigroup is profitable. Since the government owns a big stake in Citi, did you guys know about this?"

Seriously, that is just a dumb question. It was a shallow reading of a business headline and trying to twist it into something I am not entirely sure of. That guy is such a dolt.

1. I find his questions to be dumb too
At first, I thought maybe he would ask interesting questions. What was I thinking? "If you get no Republican votes on this bill, will you veto it?" What?

2. Ya THINK?
One only has to look at his facial hair to figure that out.

3. Politically stupid. He is not worthy of being a pundit on tv.
Send him back to the fancy touch screen. Him and John King.

4. He's done that before and Obama had to correct him
I can't exactly remember what it was now but it was really off the mark, it wasn't a slam or anything either he just didn't know. I am not sure that Todd is a good fit for this role to be honest.

16. He asked the Pres. if consumers began to spend more would that be harmful to the economy
He said since consumer spending was a factor in this economic crisis that if consumers began spending again we would be back in a financial crisis.

8. He's not that smart.
He admitted yesterday during somekind of lecture that he read about AIG
in order to figure out what they did....and stated that he still doesn't really know.

7. He has no background in his education to deal with the
difficult subjects at hand.

He knows nothing about health care, education, finances, science, or anything else for that matter.

He only knows how to count delegates, electoral votes, and do gossip.

In fact, most of these folks are selected to appear on television more for the
demeanor and appearance and how they read their teletext than for any other reason.

10. He really doesn't know what he's talking about. His book on How Obama Won was good but
he needs to stick to his area of expertise -- the political game. Not the serious issues.

12. Actually, it's not such a dumb question.
Yesterday, Citigroup was a big black pit and my mortgage was to be swallowed in it if it doesn't receive untold billions to bail it out. Now today we hear it has turned a profit? I want to know why this about face within the space of 24 hours. Did they really need a bailout? If not, why were they lying? Are they lying now and do they still need bailed out? What the hell is going on? I would like to know that we, the people, are informed of where this money has gone, especially since the financial markets still have their greedy hand extended--palm up.

14. It's actually pretty dumb. The government capital infusion is detrimental to them.
It's not a conspiracy. If they are profitable, they have to pay it all back and their shareholders are pissed.

13. Todd once predicted W's approval would recover and reach 50%
If Nancy Pelosi became Speaker of the House in 2006.
Needless to say, Bush didn't even make it to 40%.

15. He was horrible at crunching numbers too
I remember he would always act like each poll that showed Obama doing well was an outlier. He is ridiculously overrated...not sure who he knows or whose...nevermind.

17. Unless his intent was to get the WH to diminish the good news that was lifting Wall Street
by putting into context that the bank still has problems with toxic assets. Such an answer - true though it is - would then be passed by others or even him later as the Obama administration's gloom and doom (which exists only in the minds of the same media that was cheerleading everything Bush did) hurting the recovery.

18. He is beyond pathetic, imo...
All he knows is dumb questions. Even his colleagues in the WH press corp laugh at him NOT with him when President Obama or his spokesperson points out his failure by answering with the CORRECT info.

Does he stay up nights thinking of gotchas?
