The Freepers think the citizenship "controversy" is a nationwide phenomenon...
Edited on Sat Mar-07-09 09:12 PM by Bicoastal
...just like they thought millions of disgruntled PUMAs across the country would tip the election to McCain.

They also think that a nationwide populist rebellion is on the verge of sweeping away the federal government, just like they said a "silent majority" would rise up and prevent a radical communist socialist marxist (etc.) from taking the White House.

Noticeably, none of these things happened--nor are they going to happen.

Freepers fail to understand a basic concept about the Internet: volume and ubiquity does not translate into numbers. And furthermore, just because you know two or three people at your local bar who are "mad as hell and not going to take it anymore," it doesn't translate into revolution.

I just want to make sure we don't fall into this trap--when a Freeper says "It's ALL OVER the Internet!!" it means that 2, maybe 3% of the country is talking about it. And of that 3%, 85% are not coming out of their basement anytime soon...

5. Well, when their "Internet" consists of Rush's website, FoxNews.com,
the Hannity forums, Drudge, and Freak Republic, then yeah--I guess it is "all over the Internet".

LOLCats are all over the Internet too, guys--doesn't make them a worldwide controversy or phenomenon.

They ultimately know President Obama's good for the country just too stubborn to admit it. I hear them talk on voice chat and yeah they say the controversial things but there's no feeling behind it, everything they say, speaks game over. We're done. They are entering a process of refinding their humanity it's slow, probably very slow but they'll get there.

6. These people are the same idiots
that made all these allegations that Clinton had all these plans to take away their rights and applauded W when he actually did it.

Do you really expect them to have any grasp of reality.

11. Also, Freepers seem capable only of thinking anecdotally
If a Freeper's mother-in-law in Kansas has a particular opinion on a particular issue then that becomes the opinion of all Kansans.

16. lol This happens everytime a democrat gets elected.
Remember how many RWers claimed that Bill Clinton had revoked his American citizenship and become a Soviet citizen and was therefore ineligible for the presidency?
