Rachel now saying spending freezes are bad in our situation.

Frankly, it was the nicest, including Elizabeth, I've seen these ladies treat someone.

All in all, it was very light and personal and not so substantive.

But a nice PR move for Maddow and hopefully will make her popular show even more so!

they asked her if she got hate mail because she is an open lesbian.

She responded that she gets hate mail and that it mentions she is a lesbian, but it is usually about somethinf she has said.

And then they asked the same in regards to her work environment, and she said, "I don't know, maybe they say something behind my back (she was kidding here) but everyone there has been nothing but extremely nice to me."

(Dont' kill me if a transcript, video of this comes out and I don't have it exactly right word for word. The quotes of the gist of what she said only.)

when hasselbeck was talking about pork, and maddow responded that the republicans want a spending freeze. then maddow said a spending freeze is what made the depression great. she put it SO well.

13. Yeah, but did she remind Hasselback that most of that pork is from

the Republicans when considering their numbers in Congress. In addition, did she say that pork spending has declined and that the Repukes had no problems spending and raised no objections when Bush signed all these spending bills with their fingerprints all over them? Bush did not veto ONE spending bill. And despite the Repuke rhetoric that they weren't in favor of Bush's increased spending, none of them raised objections to their own spending when he was their leader.
