The War on Obama
Let's call it what it is: The War on Obama. As much as these people attack without either facts or brains, it makes about as much sense as their War on Christmas. It's been a long time since I've heard so many people argue against someone or something without any sort of legitimacy. Find me one person of Rush Limpd**k's stature in the Democratic Community who actually stated -- with full passion and shaking -- that she/he wanted Bush to fail.

Time's up. Didn't happen.

While I was highly skeptical of Bush's presidency, esp. after the whole "appointment" process the 5 Supreme Court Justices performed, I decided to give him the chance I hoped people would have given Gore. Heck, I even said nice things about the guy immediately after 9/11, hoping that he would be able to use the tragedy for some sort of constructive purpose. Well, that didn't happen (understatement of century).

We live in a time where it is incredibly difficult to connect with world events. By that, I mean that through out most of history, if you wanted to fight a war, you went off and fought it. If you wanted to drop out of society to explore uncharted territories, you sold everything and left town. Unfortunately, that sort of connection to history or to events is much more difficult to accomplish, so there's a feeling that history is flying by, and we might not be a part of it. This has led -- or at least partly has led -- to an increasing attempt on people's parts to be a part of something. As vindictive politics and religious fanaticism have driven people into smaller and smaller groups, something like the Obama Campaign made people feel like they were part of a larger historical event. Let me make my position clear; I supported Biden, not Obama at first, but was so happy to see Obama get the nomination that his pick of Biden for VP barely registered with me. It felt blasted good to say "President Obama" the first time. Better than I've felt in my entire political life (and I tried to help Jerry Brown get elected in '92, even working for his campaign in Oklahoma).

These people who feel apart from the Obama presidency do so partially because they are just sick of hearing about the man, but mainly because they sense the change that is coming and they do not want to see their way of life change. So they think that attacking Obama is necessary at any and all occasions because they are trying to stop history being made without them.

So there's a war against Obama going on, but those of us who support him know who's winning.

And, damn, it feels good.

1. Their war is for the most part failing - Obama at 68%
But his Presidency is young and they will push hard for the next 3 1/2+ years in every attempt to destroy him.

4. Now they blame him for the stock market ...
while for years they claimed that the government had NO influence on Wall Street and the "free" market. They are changing their philosophies to fit the Democratic president now. Obama has them spinning into the ground.

5. I hearby declare that I hope the Repuke party fails from here on until eternity
They are like the Sith in Star Wars, Sauron in Lord of the Rings. Pure evil. I hope they fail because it would be bad for our country to have them ever get back in power again. They are kicking and screaming to get attention. Welcome to the minority, Repukes-get used to it.

6. I'm sorry, but writing "Rush Limpd**k" is just too lame.
If you're gonna be crude, have the integrity to actually be crude. Write Limpdick, not Limpd**k. Who are you protecting with your little astrices? If you're gonna be childish, at least embrace your childishness. If you feel the need to censor a few letters out to avoid writing the purile word "dick," then perhaps part of your mind is telling you to act a little more classy.

Calling Limbaugh "Rush Limpd**k" puts you on the same level as the Republicans who refer to us as the "Democrat Party."

8. They destroyed the country, and now they're blaming Obama.
It's so utterly transparent. I cannot believe the irony. It's as though they don't think anyone is watching. They're naked. Yet they don't realize it.

There is definitely something wrong with these kinds of people. I want to say conservatives, but it spans all kinds. But it's mostly conservatives. American conservatives, I think.

I agree with your concept. It really is a war against Obama. As long as they are powerless, I'm happy to let them simmer. Maybe they'll learn something. Children.
