did the politically correct of RNC fuck themselves with Steele vote?
If there's one guy who hasn't minded declaring racism where there isn't (such as his election vs.a white Democratic candidate and supposed supporters rolling oreos at him), it is Steele. But more than that, he at least seems sane. He looks completely shallow and cheesy trying to talk about hip hop culture, and I'm sure that kind of plan is going over big in Idaho and other locations.

But a lot of Republicans are going to see Steele as "untouchable" precisely because of his race. Limbaugh, on the other hand, has loved to say many things about race that are indeed ugly such as his claim that Phil Eagles QB Donavan McNabb only got the job because he was black.

I think if Steele continues to act as a moderate but loopy leader, it eviscerates the powerful bloodlust urges of the party led by Rush, but doesn't offer any coherent alternatives for them.

1. They wanted a M***c N***o of their own
I guess they'd heard "Barack the M***c N***o" too many times, and thought that it would be a good idea to get one of their very own. EPIC FAIL.

2. As long as they are only committed to superficial change they are screwed either way.
Even Steele only framed the hip hop thing as superficial appeal. No acknowledgement that there is an actual need to reach out or change their real approach or philosophy at all, actually OFFER anything to black or Hispanic voters.

3. Are you saying Steele is too big to fail?
Or if they replace him, they will shoot their diversity tag in the foot?

I personally think if they remove responsibilities from him that RNC Chairman normally do then they have shot themselves in the foot. Rush saying Steele is not the head of the Republican party is like saying in the 1960s nonblack people moved to the suburbs so they could integrate those private schools.
